A Simple, Yet Editorial Photoshoot with Two Mannequin Heads

Kennedy (@kennedy_pierce) and I met up at a park to execute a vision after I had been inspired by the incredibly talented @katiemacphotography out of Tennessee! Katie’s shoot incorporated two mannequin heads and some colorful wigs. I pulled inspiration from her shoot when selecting the two styrofoam mannequin heads as my main props. I also brought along my white corinthian column from Hobby Lobby to add an element of class and sophistication to the shoot.

Kennedy’s boyfriend even held a styrofoam head up for us, and I photoshopped him out. He’s the behind the scenes hero here! The sky was overcast, meaning the lighting could not have been more perfect. As a storm approached, we experimented with different posing to reflect different levels of moodiness. In some of the shots, you can see just how scary the sky looks in one direction. Kennedy remarked that the shoot was giving off “Stranger Things” vibes, and I agree!
