Getting Married or Eloping on the Bonneville Salt Flats in Utah

Close-up of ice with visible cracks and a textured surface.

The Bonneville Salt Flats are a seemingly endless display of white against a mountainous backdrop.

I highly recommend visiting at the Salt Flats Rest Area — you can acess the flats from there instead of driving to the “official” State Recreation Area.

I’d also recommend visiting when the sun isn’t too high in the sky — so around morning or night.
